Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: 2026-10-19 · PawfectPix

This Acceptable Use Policy (the "Policy") sets out the content you may not generate with PawfectPix (the "Service"), how we review what is submitted and generated, how to report a problem, and what happens when this Policy is broken. It forms part of our Terms of Service at https://www.pawfectpix.art/terms, and breaching it is a material breach of those Terms.

1. Scope

This Policy applies to everyone who accesses the Service, including account holders, their staff and anyone using an account with the holder's permission. It covers the photo you upload, the content the Service generates from it, your conduct, and how you use the Service's features and limits.

2. Content Standards and Prohibited Categories

The Service generates an image and, optionally, a short piece of text. The following six categories of content are prohibited. We do not generate them for anyone, and a request for them is a breach of this Policy:

  • Pornography / NSFW content — nudity or sexual content of any kind, including sexually suggestive depictions of animals.
  • Violence / gore — graphic injury, dismemberment, blood, animal cruelty, or content that glorifies or gives instructions for harming a living being.
  • Hate speech — content that attacks, dehumanises or incites hostility against people because of race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, sex, gender identity or sexual orientation.
  • Child-unsafe content (CSAM) — any sexual or sexualised depiction of a minor, real or generated, and any content that sexualises, grooms or endangers a child.
  • Deepfakes / impersonation of real people — face swaps, nudification, composited intimate scenes, or fabricated statements and actions attributed to a real person, whether or not that person consented.
  • Content infringing copyright or trademarks — reproducing a protected work, character, logo or brand, or generating output you do not have the rights to use.

2.1 Absolutely Prohibited — Zero Tolerance

The list above is a floor, not a menu. The following are acted on immediately, without a prior warning, and may be reported to law enforcement or to the relevant child-protection authority:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM), or any sexual content involving a minor.
  • Content that promotes, recruits for or facilitates terrorism, violent extremism or mass violence.
  • Instructions for producing weapons of mass destruction, or for planning an attack.
  • Content that incites genocide or hatred against an ethnic, national or religious group.
  • Deepfakes of real individuals — face swaps, nudification, composited intimate scenes, fabricated statements or fabricated conduct — whether or not the individual consented.

2.2 Restricted — Subject to Review

Some subjects are not prohibited outright but are a poor fit for this Service. We may decline a request, or remove output, that contains them:

  • Violent imagery, unless there is a clear creative or educational context.
  • Depictions of a real public figure that could mislead about their conduct or statements.
  • Output that reads as medical, legal or financial advice.
  • Political or socially sensitive content that could be mistaken for fact.

2.3 Other Prohibited Uses of the Output

  • Generating or spreading misinformation, or presenting a portrait as evidence of something that did not happen.
  • Impersonating a real person, brand or organisation, or misrepresenting your affiliation with anyone.
  • Infringing anyone's intellectual property, privacy, publicity or other rights.
  • Passing AI-generated output off as a photograph or as human-made work, where that distinction matters to the person receiving it.
  • Bulk-generating spam or deceptive commercial content.
  • Attempting to defeat a safety measure — for example by preparing an upload or a request intended to make a model ignore its instructions.

2.4 The Material You Upload

Upload only a photo you took yourself, or one you have explicit permission to use from whoever owns it — and, where a person appears in it, from that person. Uploading someone else's photo without their consent is prohibited. Permission to upload a photo does not authorise generating the deepfake content prohibited in Section 2.1.

3. Content Moderation

We review content in layers: automated checks before and during generation, review by a person when something is reported or looks wrong, and enforcement against the account responsible. Each layer below describes what actually happens, not what we would like to happen.

3.1 Automated Checks

  • Provider-side screening: the image models we use screen both the photo you upload and the image they produce, against their own safety policies. A request they refuse returns no image, and the credits for that attempt are automatically returned to your balance.
  • Our own pre-checks: a generation runs only for a signed-in account with enough credits, with an accepted image type and size, and with a human-verification token. A request that fails these checks never reaches a model.
  • No free-text prompt channel: you choose one of six fixed styles and, optionally, a pet name. There is no text box into which instructions can be injected, and the pet name is sanitised and length-limited before it is used.

Automated screening is performed by the model providers, not by a classifier we built, and we do not claim otherwise. What we operate ourselves is the account-level record of who generated what, the human review below, and the severity and enforcement process that follows. We are a small team without a 24/7 moderation desk; the targets in Section 3.3 are the ones we hold ourselves to.

3.2 Human Review

  • Every report sent to wyzycao@gmail.com is read and assessed by a person. Nothing is actioned on the basis of an unread report.
  • We review an account that produces repeated provider refusals, that is named in a report, or whose use looks automated or abusive.
  • We review every appeal ourselves (Section 8).
  • Because a generation requires an account, every request can be traced to the account that made it. That trace is what makes enforcement possible on a product whose portraits are private rather than published.

3.3 Severity Levels and Response Times

LevelExamplesWhat we doTarget
L1 — CriticalCSAM; terrorism; a credible threat of mass violenceBlock the account immediately, preserve the request record, report to law enforcement or the relevant authorityWithin 24 hours of becoming aware
L2 — HighA deepfake of a real person; non-consensual intimate imagery; targeted abuseDelete the output from storage, suspend the account, reverse credits obtained through the breachWithin 3 business days
L3 — MediumHateful, violent or infringing output; repeated policy refusals on one accountDelete the output, warn the account, restrict features if it repeatsWithin 7 calendar days
L4 — LowA single borderline generation; a question about a refusalAnswer the user, explain the decision, ask for a correctionWithin 14 calendar days

Targets run from the moment we become aware. A report that needs a decision from the model provider can take longer, and we will say so when that happens.

3.4 What We May Do

  • Refuse or stop a generation before an image is delivered.
  • Delete a stored portrait from our object storage, so the link stops working.
  • Reverse credits obtained through a breach, or refund the affected purchase.
  • Restrict features, or suspend or terminate the account.
  • Report the matter to our payment provider, to a rights holder, or to law enforcement, and cooperate with an investigation.

4. Prohibited Conduct

In addition to the content rules in Section 2, you must not use the Service to:

  • break any applicable law, regulation, or card network rule;
  • produce or distribute malware, phishing material or other tools for attacking systems;
  • harass another person, or use the Service to contact someone who has asked you not to;
  • send unsolicited bulk messages, or use the Service as a relay for spam;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, to another user's account, or to any system we operate;
  • probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Service, or breach its authentication or security controls, without our prior written permission;
  • bypass, disable or interfere with any usage limit, quota, rate limit or credit mechanism;
  • use automated means to access the Service in a way that imposes an unreasonable load on our infrastructure;
  • resell, sublicense or share access to the Service without our prior written consent; or
  • use the Service in a way that damages, disables or impairs it for other users.

5. Account and Payment Abuse

The following are specifically prohibited and are treated as serious breaches:

  • Making a purchase with a payment method you are not authorised to use.
  • Testing stolen or invalid card details against our checkout (card testing).
  • Creating multiple accounts to obtain a first-purchase benefit, a refund guarantee or free credits more than once.
  • Making a chargeback or payment dispute that you know to be unfounded, or disputing a charge with your bank without first contacting us at wyzycao@gmail.com as Section 8 of the Terms requires.
  • Exploiting a bug, race condition or misconfiguration to obtain credits or access you did not pay for. If you find such a problem, report it to wyzycao@gmail.com instead — we will not pursue you for a good-faith report.

6. Reporting a Violation

If you believe someone is breaking this Policy — including a portrait generated from your photo or your likeness — email wyzycao@gmail.com. Please include enough detail for us to investigate: what you saw, where you saw it, the account or link involved, and any relevant dates.

  • We treat the identity of a reporter as confidential.
  • Every report is reviewed on its own facts; we do not act on a report without assessing it.
  • Reports about child safety are handled at L1 and are actioned first.
  • If a portrait was made from your photo without your consent, say so — we will remove it and act on the account.
  • Reports made in bad faith, or repeatedly and without foundation, may themselves be treated as a breach of this Policy.

We cannot guarantee that every prohibited item is detected automatically, and a blocked request is no substitute for contacting the emergency services or the police. If someone is in immediate danger, contact the authorities first.

7. What Happens When This Policy Is Broken

Our response is proportionate to the breach and to whether it is repeated. We will normally tell you what we have done and why.

MeasureWhat it meansWhen we use it
WarningA written notice asking you to stop and to correct the behaviourFirst, minor or inadvertent breach
Corrective actionReversal of credits obtained through the breach, or removal of the offending contentWhere a benefit was obtained improperly
Feature restrictionReduced quotas or suspension of specific capabilitiesRepeated minor breaches
Account suspensionTemporary loss of access while we investigateSerious breach, or an ongoing risk to the Service or to other users
Account terminationPermanent loss of accessSerious or repeated breach, fraud, or a legal requirement
Referral to authoritiesReporting to law enforcement or a regulator, and cooperating with an investigationWhere the conduct appears criminal

We may also report a matter to our payment processor, which is required to act on certain categories of abuse. Terminating an account under this section does not entitle you to a refund of amounts already paid, as set out in Section 7.4 of the Terms.

8. Appeals

If you believe a measure taken against you was wrong, email wyzycao@gmail.com within 30 days of being notified. Include your account email and the reason you think the decision was mistaken. We will review the decision within 10 business days.

A suspension or termination that has not yet been reviewed will generally remain in effect while the appeal is considered, unless the appeal is clearly well founded.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes to the Service or to the law. If a change is material, we will notify you by email at least 15 days before it takes effect and update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the updated Policy.
